With us, you’ll be joining a team of professionals. Our CEO, Bernie Gibson has dedicated her career to the social care sector, she began her journey as a Residential Support Worker and later went on to become a Child Protection Social Worker. Here she developed her knowledge and skills in safeguarding children and making sure that every decision revolves around them. She knows what it takes to put a child’s needs front and centre of everything she does, and this is carried through to everything everybody in our organisation does, too.
We are a children first fostering agency, which means that protecting vulnerable children is at the heart of every decision we make, including their education.
What about our carers?
We give our foster parents the opportunity to build a career in fostering through training, mentoring, involvement in local support groups and recruiting other carers. Our aim is always to improve your fostering skills so that you are able to offer the best quality of care to the children and young people you look after.
We know that raising children doesn’t come cheap, so that’s why we pay our foster carers a generous fostering allowance. This is to help you with the day to day costs of looking after a child as well as your professional fostering fee.
To us, every foster carer is as unique as the children you look after. That’s why we take the time to really get to know our carers and support you in all kinds of practical ways.
