How Do Referrals Work?
So, how does referring a friend work? Well, referring a friend couldn’t be easier with Compass! Just fill out our referral form, and we’ll get in touch with them to find out more.
First, by signing up to become a Foster Carer Finder (see below), you’ll receive £250 when the person you recommend enters our assessment process. Once they pass panel and become approved to foster with us, you’ll receive a further £750!
You’ll receive another payment when your friend takes their first foster child into their home. We’ll send you between £1,250 – £2,250 on top of the money you’ve already received to show our appreciation for your all your help. How much you receive at this point depends on whether your friend had experience in fostering prior to joining us.
This means that, in total, you have the opportunity to earn up to £3,250 – all by referring a friend to foster with us at Compass.
Becoming a Foster Carer Finder
Our Foster Carer Finders help us to recruit new foster carers via word of mouth. Using their experience and knowledge of fostering, we provide our Foster Carer Finders with everything they need to succeed.
Upon signing up to be a Foster Carer Finder, we’ll send you a personalised pack of flyers, recruitment brochures and your own unique referral code.
You can share these flyers and brochures with your friends, family, and local community – posting them in community centres, hosting coffee mornings, and spreading the word about fostering with Compass!
We also provide our Foster Carer Finders with digital resources to help you to recruit more foster carers online.
As thanks, you’ll earn £250 per referral we receive using your unique code (included in above figures).
If you’re a foster carer with Compass you can sign up to the scheme via the Foster Carer Portal. Staff members can also access the scheme via 360.
