I work, can I still foster?
It is possible to work part-time and still be a foster carer, often if you are caring for school-age children. Depending on the needs and age of children, it may also be possible to work full-time.
You will need to be available to attend a variety of meetings and training (which will more than likely be during the day) and be available to care for child, including holidays & illness.
Why Compass Fostering?
With us, you’ll be joining a team of professionals. We give carers the opportunity to build a career in fostering through training, mentoring, involvement in local support groups, recruiting other carers and developing a host of skills that enhance your expertise as a foster carer.
Our foster carers receive extensive support, generous allowances and everything they need to help children and young people find emotional stability and security. We know that while fostering is often highly rewarding, it can also be challenging at times: this is why we constantly look at new and innovative ways of supporting our carer families to minimise any challenges and support the placement.
