As a Head of Quality and Safeguarding for the Residential and Education Service you will be working in collaboration with leaders and colleagues across residential and education to review practice and support the continuous improvement agenda.
As part of this role you will contribute to the on-going review of how quality assurance and governance works and how we can continuously improve the methods we use to make sure that we aspire to deliver the best service and therefore the best care to the children that we look after.
There will be a focus on how children are safeguarding following allegations, complaints and serious incidents and your role will be to guide and support the safeguarding social worker undertaking this work.
Skills, qualifications and/or experience required
- Management experience of working preferably in a residential service or fostering service.
- A Social Work qualification is essential and the post holder will need knowledge, experience and an understanding of the regulations and be able to support the development of frameworks to review practice.
- Good communication skills and the ability to share feedback at a management level, working collaboratively with management teams to effectively promote positive change
