Compass recognise that our staff do amazing things every day, so we make sure we show that we appreciate them. From regional staff days to championing great management, we’re here so you can keep doing what you do best.
What do Compass offer?
We want our teams to see Compass as a great place to work, determined largely by the quality of leadership and good management practices.
We strive to champion best practice in our initiatives and keep our staff happy. We care for and motivate our teams by cultivating a supportive, encouraging culture around work and everyday life. We celebrate success and achievements publicly- we’re a proud bunch!
“My manager and line manager have been amazing. They spend time offering their help with anything I need, despite being busy themselves, they have always made time.”
– Corinna, Compass Social Worker
It’s important to us to communicate openly and effectively, by listening and continually working with our staff to improve our community. You’ll have regular pay reviews with your manager, along with supervisions to make sure we’re doing all we can do to help you succeed.
We run an annual ‘you said, we did, we will’ project where we seek staff’s views, suggestions, and any concerns they might have that we can work on improving.
We offer staff training and development to all our employees.
Don’t just take our word for it, meet Charlotte, our Advanced Practitioner in Wales. She talks about what it’s like to work with Compass.
Staff Engagement
We aim to engage our teams, increase morale and performance, and ultimately retain our staff by offering additional advantages like:
- Cashback for various medical appointments & treatments with MediCash
- Birthday day as an additional day leave
- Opportunities for staff & carer recommendation bonus
- Innovation teams
- Mentoring by Senior Managers
- Chance to win prizes in our monthly staff recognition awards
- Paying people competitively and rewarding superior performance
We understand that there has been a lot of change and uncertainty in workplaces in 2020/2021 because of the pandemic. Due to the nature of the key role we play in looking after those that need our care, we’ll be here to look out for our staff across all our services, our children and our carers.
