Fostering in Leicestershire With Compass

Our Loughborough office is part of Compass Fostering Central, one of the leading independent fostering agencies in Leicestershire. We know how hard our foster parents work and we value the amazing commitment they are making when they become a foster carer.

There is a shortage of foster carers in England. That’s why we have an office in Loughborough, with Supervising Social Workers throughout Leicestershire to support our carers. We are actively recruiting foster carers in the area, particularly in Loughborough, Leicester, Oakham, Billesdon, Coalville, Hinckley, Ibstock, Melton Mowbray, Oadby, Shepsted Market Harborough and Thurmaston.

We’re just round the corner from Loughborough University and are open 9-5, Monday to Friday. If you need to speak to somebody, we have an out of hours service available at all times.

Leicestershire Fostering Payments

We recognise that looking after a child or young person has financial implications which is why as a foster carer you are paid a weekly fostering allowance which is made up of a professional fee for yourself and also a day to day living allowance for the child. There are a number of different factors which contribute to how much foster carers are paid per week. Compass average payments of £370 for every child per week living in your home. Training & Support

We run regular training and support groups for foster carers, and those who would like to learn more, at eight venues across the Central region.
