Hampshire Fostering Allowance

We recognise that looking after a child or young person has various financial implications. Our foster carers recieve a generous weekly allowance which is made up of both a professional fee (for you), and a day living allowance for the foster child in your care.

We average payments of £370 per week for every child living in your home, which far exceeds national minimum standards.

Garry

“My journey to becoming a foster carer started late. I’d thought about it for years, then took early retirement. I now care for a lovely little 7-year-old boy; we get on like we’ve always been together!”

Mark & Nick

“We really enjoy our fostering life. Having seen the children grow from strength to strength and achieve awards for everything they put their minds to is reward enough for us.”

Alison

“Since fostering, our birth children have revisited their early childhoods with fresh eyes and fresh enjoyment. Helping our foster child has allowed them to be children again.”
