Compass East Sponsors Year 6 Leavers’ Party and Hoodies

As the school year ended, Compass Fostering East was proud to help create lasting memories for a group of Year 6 pupils preparing for their next big adventure – secondary school.

To mark the end of term, Compass East sponsored the children’s leavers’ party and funded their official leavers’ hoodies. It was a chance for the pupils to celebrate their achievements, say goodbye to primary school, and enjoy one last big moment together as a class.

The party was a brilliant success, filled with fun, laughter, and friendship. In a heartfelt thank-you card sent to Head of Fostering Katy O’Reilly, the children shared just how much the gesture meant to them:

Tucked inside the card was a touching pull-out message, lovingly made by the pupils, that simply read: “You’re so amazing”, a special note of thanks just for Katy.

This simple act of kindness had a big impact, giving the children a joyful send-off and a keepsake they can wear with pride as they move up to Year 7. For some, it may have been their first time feeling publicly celebrated, a moment they’re unlikely to forget.

For Compass East, supporting the leavers’ celebration was about more than just one event — it reflects our wider commitment to being active and involved in the communities we serve.
