If you would like to donate to Yvonne’s brilliant cause you can do so here.

At the beginning of the year one of our fantastic carers, Yvonne Cossins, wanted to take on the challenge of completing a mammoth set of tasks to raise money for a charity that helps Manchester’s homeless, charity Coffee4Craig.

She said ‘I am 61 years old so this won’t be any old easy job for me, but I will do it! Any donation will be extremely welcome and everything I am doing is self-funded so 100% of the donations will go to Coffee for Craig.’ Sadly, some of her plans have been postponed or moved due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that hasn’t stopped Yvonne’s determination!

Yvonne’s Challenges

In June Yvonne completed the ‘Trimple 20’ a 20-mile run in Lancaster. This was her first challenge off the list, and she was ‘elated’ to finish! She had planned to take part in the cancelled Manchester marathon at home too, once she got the go-ahead from the organisers.

Yvonne’s other chosen challenges of hiking the 100km Jurassic Coast have been put on hold, along with her amazing 300ft bungee jump- but she hasn’t stopped there! She’s still been keeping busy with climbing Scafell Pike in the Lake District and Pen y Fan in Wales during the summer. After climbing Pen y Fan, she kept going in Wales by completing the 4 Waterfalls Walk- she’s unstoppable!

A 160ft bungee jump has been planned for mid-December, in May of next year another 400ft bungee into a quarry is to be completed and she even hopes to do a wing walk!

We are so incredibly inspired by Yvonne with her determination, resilience and tenacity! We’re behind you all the way!
